Victor Man Arrested for Child Exploitation After National Tip

Victor Man Arrested in Child Exploitation Case After National Tip

A 57-year-old man from Victor, NY is facing serious charges after an investigation into child sexual abuse material. The arrest follows a tip from a national child protection agency.

Tip Sparked Statewide Investigation

On May 30, 2025, the New York State Police in Canandaigua received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. The tip warned that someone in the area might be in possession of child sexual abuse content, also known as CSAM.

After receiving the alert, investigators from several specialized police units—including the Computer Crimes Unit and the Forensic Investigation Unit—launched an in-depth investigation.

Devices Seized from Victor Home

On June 12, officers served a search warrant at a home on County Route 41 in the town of Victor. They seized multiple electronic devices for forensic testing. Investigators later confirmed that the devices contained illegal material involving minors.

Arrest and Charges

Tracy J. Przepiora, 57, of Victor, was arrested on June 17, 2025. He was charged with the following felonies:

  • Promoting an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child Under 17 (Class D Felony)

  • Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child (Class E Felony)

After being processed at the State Police station in Canandaigua, Przepiora was taken to the Ontario County Jail. He is scheduled to appear before a judge for arraignment under the Centralized Arraignment Program (CAP).

What Is CSAM?

CSAM stands for Child Sexual Abuse Material. It includes any photos, videos, or digital content that shows children in sexually explicit situations. Possessing or sharing this type of content is a serious crime under both state and federal law.

Law Enforcement Cracking Down

New York State Police say they work closely with national groups like the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to track online threats and protect children. CyberTipline reports have helped police catch offenders in several cases across the state.

In recent years, law enforcement has ramped up efforts to fight child exploitation by using advanced forensic tools and working with internet providers.
