On June 2, 2025, at approximately 10:34 p.m., State Police members responded to a car versus motorcycle collision on Route 3 in the town of Saranac. Upon arrival, troopers observed a gray 2020 Dodge pickup truck, driven by 60-year-old Rocky L. Kramer from Cadyville, NY, and a white 2007 Honda motorcycle, operated by 27-year-old Olivia A. Penry from Saranac, NY, involved in the accident.
The investigation revealed that the Dodge pickup truck was traveling west on Route 3 and attempted to turn left into a driveway. In doing so, it failed to notice the motorcycle traveling east on Route 3, which resulted in a collision. Penry was ejected from the motorcycle and was transported to CVPH. She was later airlifted to the University of Vermont Medical Center, where she is currently listed in critical condition.
Kramer was issued a vehicle and traffic ticket for failing to yield the right of way on a left turn.
