Sodus Man Arrested in Connection with Stabbing Incident

On June 27, 2025, New York State Police at SP Wolcott responded to a report of a stabbing in the village of Sodus. The 26-year-old male victim was transported by private vehicle to the Sodus Fire Department and then taken by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for further medical treatment.
Following a thorough investigation, Troopers identified Darin Barber Jr., age 21, of Sodus, NY, as the suspect in the stabbing. On June 30, 2025, Barber voluntarily responded to SP Lyons, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Barber was charged with:
- Assault in the First Degree (B Felony)
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (D Felony)
He was subsequently transported to the Wayne County Jail for CAP arraignment.
