Marshall, 38, of Saugerties, NY, in connection with a violent incident at the Wenton Motel on Route 9W. Authorities report that the events unfolded in the early morning hours, culminating in charges that carry serious legal consequences.
At approximately 4:45 a.m., a 37-year-old female guest at the motel answered a knock at her door. According to law enforcement, Marshall, who was on the other side of the door, engaged in a verbal confrontation with the victim that rapidly escalated into a physical attack. The altercation resulted in the victim sustaining multiple stab wounds. Emergency personnel transported her to HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston, where hospital staff promptly notified the City of Kingston Police Department.
Once it was established that the assault occurred within the jurisdiction of Saugerties, the City of Kingston Police Department coordinated with the Town of Saugerties Police Department. The case was then referred to the New York State Police, who led the investigation. Within a short period following the incident, officers located and arrested Marshall. She was processed without incident at State Police Kingston and subsequently arraigned in Saugerties Town Court Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP).
