Tragic Update: Young Passenger Dies Following Salina Crash
On June 14, 2025, 23‑year‑old Rebecca Woodcock of Syracuse died from her injuries at Upstate Hospital, according to an update from New York State Police .
What happened
On May 30, 2025, at 2:59 p.m., Troopers responded to a crash at the intersection of Factory Avenue and Lemoyne Avenue in the Town of Salina .
Investigators say 67‑year‑old Rickey Belcamino of Syracuse was driving south on Factory Avenue in a 2004 Dodge pickup when he ran a red light. He collided with a westbound 2009 Harley‑Davidson motorcycle .
The motorcycle was ridden by 35‑year‑old Michael Lembo, also from Syracuse. Rebecca Woodcock, a passenger, was thrown from the bike and struck a parked 2018 Dodge SUV driven by 71‑year‑old Gregory Pacicca of Solvay .
Woodcock was found unconscious at the scene and taken by ambulance to Upstate Hospital in critical condition . No one else was seriously hurt. Belcamino was issued a summons for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device .
