Rome Rescue Mission Invites Community to Support Summer Meal Program

Rome, NY [July 2025] –As summer gets underway, the Rome Rescue Mission is inviting the community to be part of something meaningful by supporting its ongoing effort to provide daily meals for children, families, and individuals throughout the season.

“We’ve seen how something as simple as a warm meal can lift someone’s spirits and remind them, they’re not alone,” said Lisa Patierno, Executive Director of the Rome Rescue Mission. “With more people visiting us each day, we’re turning to our amazing community to help us keep our pantry full and meals available to all.”

The Rome Rescue Mission serves three meals a day, seven days a week—and demand continues to grow. Donations of any kind, whether financial or food-related, are gratefully accepted and will go directly toward feeding those who walk through the Mission’s doors.

“Just imagine a child opening the fridge and finding it empty. That’s why we do what we do—and it’s why every gift, large or small, makes a real difference,” said Patierno. “Together, we can make sure everyone has a place to come for a warm meal and a welcoming smile.”

How to Help:
