Early Morning Break-In at Rome’s Bloomfield Market Under Investigation
A quiet Thursday morning in Rome was disrupted by a burglary at a local corner store, leaving neighbors on edge and police searching for leads.
Glass Shattered, Goods Stolen
Around 8:50 a.m. on May 29, 2025, officers from the Rome Police Department responded to a reported break-in at The Bloomfield Market, located at 104 E. Bloomfield Street. When they arrived, they found the front door’s glass smashed and several items missing from inside the store.
Police spoke with the store’s owner, who reported that an unknown individual had forcibly entered the business. The suspect grabbed a number of miscellaneous goods before fleeing the scene. What exactly was taken hasn’t been fully disclosed, but investigators are reviewing the damage and gathering evidence to identify the burglar.
