Around 8:50 a.m. on May 29, 2025, officers from the Rome Police Department responded to a reported break-in at The Bloomfield Market, located at 104 E. Bloomfield Street. When they arrived, they found the front door’s glass smashed and several items missing from inside the store.

Police spoke with the store’s owner, who reported that an unknown individual had forcibly entered the business. The suspect grabbed a number of miscellaneous goods before fleeing the scene.
