UTICA, NY – Representative John W. Mannion (NY-22), in partnership with the Public Education Alliance, invites the public to attend a Back-to-School Forum with educators, parents, students, and community members to address how to protect and strengthen public schools amidst rising federal and local challenges. The event will be on Monday, August 25th at 6:00 PM in Utica.
The Back to School Forum is open to the public and the location will be provided upon RSVP. To attend, you must register here.
Representative Mannion, a public school science teacher for almost thirty years, will discuss how his career in the classroom informs his work in Washington, his efforts to protect the Department of Education, and his work on the Education and the Workforce Committee.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, learn from one another, and explore concrete steps the community can take together to ensure every child has access to a safe, well-resourced, and high-quality public education.
