Fall 2025 Community Arts at Munson: Classes Begin in September—Register Today
Utica, N.Y. — Awaken your imagination this fall with a Community Arts class at Munson. Classes begin in September, and registration is now available at munson.art/community-arts.
A variety of classes are available for all ages and levels, including drawing, painting, jewelry-making, welding, animation, and sewing, and there are plenty of new classes to expand your creativity, including Intaglio/Etching, Advanced Studio for Metal, and Sit ‘N Knit. Classes also vary from one- and two-day workshops to mini-courses to semester-long courses.
This fall, you can also take a class with Munson’s 2025-26 Artist-in-Residence, Quincey Spagnoletti, whose work explores themes of identity, environment, and the passage of time through analog and experimental photographic processes. Her work has been featured in “Boston Art Review,” “Der Greif,” “Photoworks UK,” and the Leica Gallery, Boston. Recognized as a rising talent in contemporary photography, she was named a Top 25 Photographer to Watch by the Lenscratch Student Prize (2024), a Top 200 Critical Mass Finalist, and a Top 30 Finalist in the KLPA Autoportrait Awards.
Scholarships for one class each semester are available to anyone who demonstrates significant financial need. Awards are limited and the amounts vary based on the number of qualified applications received. Scholarship forms, available on the Munson website, may be submitted online, by calling 315-797-8260, or email at communityclasses@munson.art. Applications are reviewed every few weeks and in the order they are received.
