On May 30, 2025, a serious crash occurred at the intersection of Factory Avenue and Lemoyne Avenue in Salina, New York, when a driver ran a red light, leading to a three-vehicle collision. The incident left a young woman hospitalized and raised concerns about traffic safety in the area.

Details of the Collision

At approximately 2:59 p.m., 67-year-old Rickey Belcamino of Syracuse was driving a 2004 Dodge pickup truck southbound on Factory Avenue. According to the New York State Police, Belcamino failed to stop at a red light and collided with a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling west on Lemoyne Avenue. The motorcycle was operated by 35-year-old Michael Lembo, also from Syracuse.

The impact caused Lembo’s passenger, 23-year-old Rebecca Woodcock of Syracuse, to be ejected from the motorcycle. She struck a stationary 2018 Dodge SUV driven by 71-year-old Gregory Pacicca of Solvay. Woodcock was found unconscious at the scene and was transported by ambulance to Upstate University Hospital. No other injuries were reported.

Belcamino was issued a ticket for failure to obey a traffic control device.
