Phoenix Woman Arrested for DWI After Striking Neighbor’s Parked Vehicle

On May 17, 2025, at approximately 10:32 p.m., New York State Police responded to a report of a vehicle collision in a parking lot on Bridge Street in Phoenix, Oswego County.

According to police, Katherine A. Jurenko, 51, of Phoenix, struck her neighbor’s unoccupied parked vehicle while attempting to park her 2022 Chevrolet Equinox in the driveway. Jurenko allegedly left the scene after the collision.

Troopers located Jurenko inside her residence and conducted an investigation that led to her arrest for driving while intoxicated. She was transported to State Police Fulton, where a breath test revealed a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.23%, nearly three times the legal limit.

Jurenko faces multiple charges including:

  • Leaving the scene of a property damage accident (Infraction)
  • Driving while intoxicated (Misdemeanor)
  • Aggravated Driving while intoxicated (Misdemeanor)

She was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Oswego County CAP Court at a later date.
