*UPDATE* The New York State Police in Canandaigua report that Owen W. Warner, the 16-year-old who was previously reported missing from his residence in Springwater, Ontario County, has been located in good health.
Warner was found safe following continued investigative efforts and public assistance. The New York State Police thank the community and media for their support and vigilance during the search.
At this time, no further details will be released.

The New York State Police in Canandaigua are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Owen W. Warner, a 16-year-old male who was reported missing from his residence in Springwater, NY, Ontario County.
Owen was last seen on April 29, 2025, at his home located at 6071 County Route 37, Springwater, NY. He may be attempting to travel to the Poughkeepsie, NY area.

New York State Police Arrest Chester Man Following DoorDash Shooting Incident
On May 3, 2025, the New York State Police Troop F Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) at SP Monroe arrested John J. Reilly III, 48, of Valerie Drive, Town of Chester, following an investigation into the non-fatal shooting of a DoorDash delivery driver.
On May 2, at approximately 9:50 p.m., SP Middletown BCI was notified of a gunshot victim at Garnet Health Medical Center. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was working as a DoorDash delivery driver and attempting to deliver food to a residence in the Valerie Drive neighborhood when he became lost and unable to navigate using the app. The victim had approached several homes asking for directions before arriving at the residence of John Reilly III. Reilly told the victim to get off his property, before firing multiple shots at the victim as he attempted to leave in his vehicle, striking the victim once in the back, causing serious physical injuries.
Reilly is the current Town of Chester Highway Superintendent and a federally licensed firearms dealer (FFL).
Reilly was processed at SP Monroe and charged with the following:
- Assault in the First Degree – Class B Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree – Class C Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Firearm – Class E Felony
Reilly was arraigned at the Orange County Centralized Arraignment Part and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $250,000 cash, $500,000 bond, or $750,000 partially secured bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 9, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in the Town of Chester Court.
The Bureau of Criminal Investigation is continuing the investigation in coordination with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

Rochester Resident Charged with Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material
The New York State Police announce the arrest of Kevin J. Burns, age 43, of Rochester, NY, following a comprehensive child exploitation investigation conducted by SP Rochester Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Troop E Computer Crimes Unit, and Troop E Forensic Investigation Unit.
On December 5, 2023, the New York State Police in Horseheads received a Cyber Tipline from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children reporting the possession of child abuse material.
On November 5, 2024, a search warrant was executed on Hillhurst Lane in the town of Irondequoit as a part of an ongoing child exploitation investigation; numerous devices were seized for forensic examination by the Troop E Computer Crimes Unit (CCU).
Following analysis, investigators determined that Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) was present on a seized device.
On April 30, 2025, Burns was arrested for Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child (E Felony). He was processed at SP Rochester and issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to Irondequoit Town Court on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 05:30 p.m.
State Police investigate double fatal motorcycle crash in Glens Falls
On May 3, 2025, State Police responded to the reports of a motorcycle crash in the area of Bacon Street in Glens Falls, NY.
On May 3, 2025, at about 12:23 a.m. Troopers responded to Bacon Street in Glens Falls, NY for the report of a motorcycle crash. The operator of the motorcycle was identified as Alex S. Morehouse, 38 of Warrensburg, NY, and the passenger of the motorcycle as Suzie J. Etu, 38 of South Glens Falls, NY. Both sustained severe injuries during the crash. Morehouse was declared deceased at the scene and Etu was later declared deceased at the Glens Falls Hospital.
Further investigation determined at approximately 12:20 a.m. Troopers attempted to stop the involved motorcycle on State Route 9 near the intersection of Hidden Farm Road in Queensbury, NY for a speeding violation but the motorcycle failed to comply. Troopers disengaged their emergency lights and stopped pursuing the vehicle at the intersection of State Route 9 and Lafayette Street due to public safety concerns caused by the motorcycle’s reckless speed. A short time later members of the Glens Falls Police Department observed the motorcycle strike a curb and crash on Bacon Street at the intersection of Glen Street in Glens Falls, NY.
The New York State Attorney General’s Office was notified of the crash and responded to the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
State Police arrest Queensbury man for allegedly stealing more than $3,000 from employer
On April 23, 2025, State Police of Queensbury arrested Matthew J. Pistoia, 43, of Queensbury, NY, for Grand Larceny in the third degree.
On November 11, 2024, Troopers were contacted by a Glens Falls, NY business reporting a theft. The investigation determined Pistoia had been employed by the company. From June 2021 until November 2024, Pistoia allegedly used the company’s corporate credit card to make over $3,000 in unauthorized purchases throughout Warren County at numerous locations and on multiple dates. Those purchases were allegedly unrelated to the business’s needs and were for Pistoia’s personal gain.
Pistoia was arrested and processed at SP Queensbury. He was then arraigned at the Warren County Centralized Part Court, where he was released on his own recognizance.
Ogdensburg male arrested for assault 2nd
On May 3, 2025, State Police arrested Terry V. Krake, age 20, of Ogdensburg, NY for Assault 2nd.
On May 2, 2025, at approximately 11:24 p.m. Troopers responded to River Road in the town of Oswegatchie for a report of an assault complaint. An investigation determined a physical altercation occurred and during the altercation, Krake presented a knife, cutting a victim on the upper eye and left side of the rib cage. The victim was able to get away from Krake and Krake fled the scene before law enforcement’s arrival. Another victim who was near the altercation was struck in the head with an unknown object and was bleeding.
Both victims were transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Krake was located and arrested. He was transported to SP Ogdensburg for processing. He was arraigned in the Town of Oswegatchie Court, where he was remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
State Police arrest Rensselaer man following road rage assault
On April 30, 2025, State Police of Wilton with the assistance of the Hudson Falls Police Department arrested Matthew Blanding, 39, of Rensselaer, NY, on a warrant for Assault in the second degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree.
On April 7, 2025, at about 4:03 p.m., Troopers responded to a home in Moreau, NY, for the reports of an assault. The investigation determined Blanding and the victim, who are unknown to each other, were reportedly involved in a road rage incident that began in the area of Hudson Street in South Glens Falls, NY. Blanding allegedly followed the victim to the location, and when they exited their vehicle, Blanding threw a glass object at the victim, which subsequently hit them in the head. Blanding then reportedly struck the victim multiple times with his hands before a bystander broke up the altercation, and 911 was called. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. On April 28, 2025, an arrest warrant was issued for Blanding by the Moreau Town Court as a result of this investigation.
On April 30, 2025, the Hudson Fall Police Department located and arrested Blanding. Blanding was transported to SP Wilton for processing. He was arraigned at the Moreau Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.
Missing Person Located Deceased Near Residence in Catskill
On May 3, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m., troopers from State Police Catskill received a report of a missing individual identified as Ian J. Shaham, age 31, of Catskill, NY.
During the investigation, troopers responded to a residence on Cauterskill Road in Catskill to conduct the investigation. On May 4, 2025, upon return to the residence, Shaham’s body was located near the residence in the creek, deceased. There were no signs of foul play.
State Police was assisted by the Greene County Sheriff’s marine recovery unit.
State Police Arrest Albany Man on Drug possession Charges after Thruway Pursuit
On May 4, 2025, at approximately 3:21 a.m., Troopers from State Police Coxsackie observed a 2016 Mercedes-Benz traveling northbound on Interstate 87, the New York State Thruway, in the town of Athens in violation of multiple New York State Vehicle and Traffic Laws.
Troopers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and interviewed the driver and sole occupant, identified as Charles B. McCormick, age 31, of Albany, NY. During the investigation, Troopers determined that McCormick was impaired.
Multiple attempts were made to detain McCormick, who physically resisted arrest and managed to flee the scene in the vehicle at a high rate of speed. McCormick traveled northbound on I-87, reaching speeds more than 120 MPH. A tire deflation device was deployed, which ultimately disabled the vehicle. The pursuit concluded safely on the eastern shoulder of the highway following a coordinated effort by responding units.
McCormick was taken into custody without further incident. A search of the vehicle and surrounding area resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of suspected illegal narcotics, including over one gram of crack/cocaine, over 140 grams of cocaine, and more than 15 grams of fentanyl. The suspect was transported to State Police Catskill for processing.
McCormick was charged with the following:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (Narcotic) – Class B Felony
- Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (Intent to Sell) – Class B Felony
- Assault on a Police Officer/Firefighter/EMT – Class C Felony
- Two counts of Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree – Class D Felony
- Tampering with Physical Evidence – Class E Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (Hallucinogen) – Class B Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (Intent to Sell) – Class B Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree – Class A Felony
- Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd Degree – Class A Misdemeanor
- Resisting Arrest – Class A Misdemeanor
- Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree – Class A Misdemeanor
- Operating a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Drugs (First Offense) – Unclassified Misdemeanor
McCormick was arraigned in Athens Town Court and remanded to Greene County Jail pending a future court appearance scheduled for May 8, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.
