Neighborhood Center Hosts First CommUNITY Block Bash for 120th Anniversary

Utica, NY— The Neighborhood Center proudly invites the community to its first-ever CommUNITY Block Bash on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, right on Mary Street between Mohawk and Third Streets. This free, family-friendly event celebrates an incredible 120 years of service to the Utica community—and promises a day packed with fun, laughter, and connection.

Event highlights include:

  • A Foam Party experience presented by FUN Foamfest, from 11:30 am to 12:30 PM — perfect for cooling off on a summer day
  • Bounce houses courtesy of OMH Turn UP and generously sponsored by the Hobika Law Firm (don’t forget to bring your socks)
  • A classic dunk tank sponsored by The Neighborhood Center’s 1905 Society, ready for brave volunteers to take the plunge
  • Carnival booths and prizes sponsored by community partners including Price Rite, Mohawk Valley Health System, New Hartford Rotary, and given in memoriam of loved ones
  • A Touch a Truck section featuring impressive vehicles from Clinton Tractor Supply for children (and adults) to explore
  • Community resource tables connecting families with local services, programs, and organizations that support the neighborhood year-round

“This event is more than just a party—it’s a celebration of the people, families, and partners who make our mission possible every day,” said Sandra Soroka, Executive Director of The Neighborhood Center. “We’re so excited to bring everyone together to honor our past and look ahead to the future.”
