Red Cross Opens Rome Warming Center After Apartment Fire

The Central and Northern New York Chapter of the American Red Cross has opened a reception and warming center at All Saints Parish in Rome after a fire at Countryside Apartments displaced about 20 families. Volunteers expect 10 to 15 people will need overnight shelter and will continue to support residents in the days ahead as they begin recovery. The Red Cross is asking for community support through donations and volunteer efforts to help families impacted by this morning’s fire.
