Center for Family Life and Recovery to Host “Hope and Healing for Mohawk Valley”
Assemblymember Buttenschon to Present NYS Assembly Resolution Proclaiming September 2025 as Recovery Month
Rome NY – Center for Family Life and Recovery (CFLR) will host a special event titled “Hope and Healing for Mohawk Valley” during Mohawk Valley Gives, raising awareness and celebrating CFLR’s mission of empowering recovery, strengthening families, and transforming lives.
The event will be held on Thursday, September 18 from 6:00–8:00 PM at the CFLR Rome Office Atrium, 201 West Dominick Street, Rome, NY.
Guests will enjoy a cocktail and mocktail hour, hors d’oeuvres, and family-friendly snacks, all in a relaxed setting designed to spotlight our mission and deepen understanding of how CFLR’s programs and services impact our community. As part of this event, Assemblymember Marianne Buttenschon will present a New York State Assembly Resolution that officially proclaims September 2025 as Recovery Month. Her recognition of CFLR’s efforts across the Mohawk Valley adds a deeply meaningful touch to the celebration and all who support and partner with CFLR. “This evening is about gratitude,” said Cassandra Sheets, CEO of CFLR. “It’s because of the care, involvement, and compassion of our entire community—our supporters, partners, volunteers, friends—that individuals and families can find strength along their recovery journeys. Together, we are creating hope and healing across our region.”
Those who are unable to attend are encouraged to support CFLR by making a gift during Mohawk Valley Gives on September 19 to help fund vital recovery and family support services throughout the region.
