Utica, NY – June 10, 2025 – This Father’s Day, the Adirondack Railroad is celebrating dads by offering free rides for Dad on Saturday, June 14, and Sunday, June 15th, 2025, with the purchase of a paid companion ticket. Families are invited to create unforgettable memories aboard two captivating excursions departing from Thendara Station in Old Forge, NY.
The Otter Lake Explorer departs at 12:30 pm for a relaxing 1.5-hour nature excursion. Passengers will marvel at the serene beauty of the Moose River as they travel aboard charming vintage train coaches. With scenic views and the option to enjoy light refreshments from the Café Car, this ride offers a perfect way to unwind and celebrate Father’s Day in style.
The Big Moose Explorer leaves Thendara Station at 2:30 pm for another 1.5-hour round trip through the captivating Adirondack wilderness. This adventure takes passengers on a remarkable route through forests and over rivers and streams, with breathtaking views along the way.
