On June 2, 2025, at approximately 5:04 p.m., the New York State Police responded to a fatal motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a deer on Lake Ontario State Parkway westbound in the town of Greece, Monroe County.
A preliminary investigation determined that a deer entered the westbound lane of the road and collided with a 2003 Honda motorcycle. The impact caused the operator, a 79-year-old male, to be ejected from the motorcycle. He was transported by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The New York State Police were assisted by AMR Ambulance and the Lakeshore Fire Department.
This incident remains under investigation.
