Community Town Hall to Spotlight Local Issues and Inspire Change

Utica, New York (June 2025) – The Center for Family Life and Recovery (CFLR), is hosting for the Beacon Center in partnership with

 Friends of Recovery NY (FOR-NY), invites the public to attend an important Community Town Hall: Shaping Our Future Together on Tuesday, June 24, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at CFLR’s Rome location, 205 West Dominick Street.

This open forum is a chance for residents, advocates, and community partners to engage in meaningful discussion around the pressing issues impacting our neighborhoods. The evening will feature a keynote address by Christopher Assini, Director of Policy at Friends of Recovery NY, who will share insight into statewide advocacy efforts and the role of local voices in shaping policy.

“We believe in the power of community dialogue to drive real, lasting change,” said Cassandra Sheets, CEO of CFLR. “This Town Hall is an opportunity to come together, listen, share concerns, and take the next steps—together.”
