City of Utica Calls for Nonprofit Nominations to Civilian Public Safety Advisory Board

Utica, NY — The City of Utica Civilian Public Safety Advisory Board is now accepting nominations from local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations to fill two (2) vacant seats on the Board. This call represents a vital opportunity for community-based groups to participate in shaping the future of public safety in Utica.

The Advisory Board plays a key role in promoting accountability, transparency, and trust between the community and the Utica Police and Fire Departments. Members work to review and provide input on public safety practices to ensure they align with the community’s needs and values.

Board Mission:
To address public safety and related concerns—particularly those involving law enforcement and community relations—with the goal of improving the quality of life for all residents of the City of Utica.

Nomination Guidelines:

  • Only registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations are eligible to nominate.
  • Nominations must meet criteria set by the Public Safety Commissioner.
  • Final selections will be made by the Civilian Public Safety Advisory Board.
