Boolermaker Kids Run Registration Begins September 8

• Registration opens on Monday, September 8th, at 10:00 a.m.

• Race day is Saturday, Oct 25, 2025, at F.T. Proctor Park in Utica.

  • Check-in, activities, and warm-up begin at 9:00 am

  • Races begin promptly at 10:00 am

• Open to children ages 4 to 13

  • Distances ranging from a quarter mile to a full mile

  • Races capped at 500 total across all age groups

UTICA, N.Y. (September 2, 2025)—Registration for the 2025 Boolermaker Kids Run presented by GPO Federal Credit Union is set to open Monday, September 8th at 10:00 am. The event allows children ages 4-13 to participate in a fun run of 1/4 mile up to one mile, based on age group. The event is capped at 500 children and will take place at F.T. Proctor Park in Utica on Saturday, October 25, at 10:00 a.m.

“The Boolermaker is a fun way to get outside, stay active, and soak up the fall season before the colder weather sets in,” said India Paschal, Sponsor and Marketing Manager. “Beyond the runs, families can enjoy our festive Trick-or-Treat Street, a group warm-up, and a few other surprises we can’t wait to share.”

Registration is $10 and includes an official Boolermaker t-shirt for those who register before Sunday, October 12, 2025. All finishers will receive a finisher’s medal and a goody bag for their trip down Trick-or-Treat Street. Costumes are encouraged but not mandatory. Please ensure costumes are safe for running (no capes are permitted), and children are in appropriate footwear.
