Boilermaker 15K caps out, interested participants still have options:
o Join the waitlist ASAP

UTICA, N.Y. (June 11th, 2025)The Boilermaker 15K Road Race, presented by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, is scheduled for Sunday, July 13, 2025, and has officially sold out. However, organizers are highlighting several options for interested participants to get involved.
“First, we want to extend our gratitude to Boilermaker Nation for their unwavering support,” said Boilermaker President Mark Donovan. “The Boilermaker is recognized as ‘America’s Best 15K Road Race’ due to the fantastic group of runners who join us each year.”
Donovan emphasized that opportunities are available for those who haven’t signed up but still want to participate. He encouraged individuals to join the race’s waitlist as soon as possible. “There is no fee or obligation to join the waitlist, and it’s beneficial to do so quickly,” Donovan remarked. “When a spot opens up, the individual at the top of the waitlist will receive an email and have 48 hours to respond. If they miss this window, they will go to the end of the list. Spots may become available as participants’ schedules shift or due to injuries.”
Additionally, runners should consider engaging through the Boilermaker’s Charity Bib program, which provides race bibs to individuals who raise funds for local charities. Organizations such as HumaneCNY, On My Team16, United Way of the Mohawk Valley, Young Scholars, Best Buddies in New York, the Parkinson’s Foundation, and Project Purple all have 15K bibs available in exchange for fundraising. Runners receive a free entry by committing to raise at least $500 for the organization. Approximately 30 bibs are available, and interested runners are encouraged to visit boilermaker.com for more information.
Donovan also mentioned the 5K road race presented by Utica National as another opportunity to experience the Boilermaker. As of Wednesday, June 12, several hundred spots were still open for the 5K.
