Bath Man Arrested on Multiple Charges Including Burglary and Sexual Abuse
BATH, NY – New York State Police at SP Bath have arrested a 48-year-old Bath resident following a serious incident involving unlawful entry and inappropriate contact at a local residence.
Loren R. Hill was taken into custody on June 18, 2025, after an investigation revealed he had unlawfully entered a private room at a residence in the town of Bath and made unauthorized physical contact with a female occupant.
Incident Details
According to State Police, Hill gained entry to a private room where he engaged in physical contact with a female resident without her permission. The incident resulted in damage to the door of the room during the encounter. Investigators determined that Hill had previously been instructed not to be present on the property.
Charges Filed
Hill faces multiple charges stemming from the incident:
- Burglary 2nd – Sexually Motivated (Class C Felony)
- Sexual Abuse 2nd (Class A Misdemeanor)
- Forcible Touching (Class A Misdemeanor)
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th (Class A Misdemeanor)
- Criminal Mischief 4th (Class A Misdemeanor)
Legal Process
Following his arrest, Hill was processed at the State Police barracks in Bath before being transported to the Steuben County Jail for CAP (Centralized Arraignment Part) arraignment. An order of protection has been issued on behalf of the victim in this case.
The investigation was conducted by New York State Police, and the case will proceed through the Steuben County court system.
