Assemblywoman Buttenschon Launches Summer Mobile Office Hours to Hear from Every Corner of the Community

New York State Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon is proud to announce the return of her Mobile Office Hours program this summer; an effort rooted in service, connection, and accessibility. Now in its sixth year, this ongoing initiative brings the Assemblywoman directly to the communities she serves, providing local residents the opportunity to meet with her one-on-one to share their concerns, ideas, and hopes for the future.

“As your State Assemblywoman, I never want there to be a barrier between you and your government,” said Buttenschon. “These mobile office hours are about listening; to your stories, your struggles, your successes; and carrying those voices with me as I advocate for our region. Everyone deserves to be heard, and I look forward to every opportunity to connect.”

Whether discussing affordability, education, infrastructure, or state services, these visits are designed to ensure every constituent has a voice. Hosting these meetings in trusted public spaces creates a welcoming and familiar setting where meaningful conversations can flourish.

In addition to meeting one-on-one with Assemblywoman Buttenschon, constituents will also have the opportunity to connect directly with representatives from National Grid, who will be in attendance at all three locations to assist with billing concerns, service questions, energy efficiency programs, and more.

Representatives from the New York State Comptroller’s Office will also be present at the Rome and Deerfield sessions (June 16 & 17) to help residents search for unclaimed funds, answer questions about the state retirement system, and provide information on financial resources available through the state.

These on-site representatives offer a unique, convenient chance for residents to get real-time support and answers; without the need for long wait times, phone calls, or appointments. Whether seeking help with a utility bill, curious about unclaimed funds, or simply want to be heard, these events are designed with her constituents in mind.

Assemblywoman Buttenschon encourages all community members to attend and take full advantage of these accessible, solutions-focused sessions.

“I am so proud to represent the people of this district,” said Buttenschon. “It’s an honor I don’t take lightly. These conversations fuel my work, and I hope everyone will feel welcome to come share what’s on their mind.”
