UTICA, NY (JUNE 5, 2025) –Â Volunteers from the Central and Northern New York Chapter of the American Red Cross provided immediate emergency aid to six people after a fire Thursday afternoon on NY 49 in Cleveland, Oneida County.
The Red Cross provided financial assistance which can be used for necessities such as shelter, food, and clothing to three adults and three children, ages 5, 6, and 11. Volunteers also offered emotional support, comfort kits containing personal care items, and health services. One resident is eligible for Veterans’ services. In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help those affected by the fire as they navigate the road to recovery.
