Buttenschon Hosts 2025 Mohawk Valley Farm Tour to Spotlight Local Ag

Buttenschon To Host 2025 Mohawk Valley Farm Tour

WHO:

New York State Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon (119th District), in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension, New York Farm Bureau, Oneida County Farm Bureau, and Assembly Agriculture Committee Chair Donna Lupardo, will welcome local officials, state officials, and farm organizations to her Annual Mohawk Valley Farm Tour.

WHAT/WHY IT MATTERS:

The Farm Tour offers Assemblywoman Buttenschon’s colleagues in the New York State Legislature and other state dignitaries a firsthand look at the people, practices, and challenges behind the farms that nourish our state. Many legislators have never stepped foot on a working farm, yet their votes shape the future of agriculture in New York. By immersing decision-makers in the daily realities of farm life, this tour fosters deeper understanding, informed policy conversations, and stronger advocacy for the farmers who form the backbone of our rural communities. It is an opportunity to build meaningful connections, share knowledge, and ensure that the voices of New York’s agricultural families are heard in Albany.
