MVCC Business students excel at FBLA National Conference
Following up on their strong performance at this spring’s State Leadership Conference, the Mohawk Valley Community College chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) earned national recognition at the FBLA National Leadership Conference, held May 31-June 2, 2025, in Dallas, Texas.
Six student representatives from MVCC’s recently reactivated FBLA chapter attended the prestigious conference, which welcomed students from nearly 150 colleges and universities across 27 states. The event provided valuable opportunities to network with peers and industry leaders, participate in professional development workshops, explore topics like leadership and communication, and compete in a range of business-related events for scholarship prizes.
To qualify for the national competition, each MVCC student had to place among the top performers in their respective categories at the state level earlier this year. In an impressive national debut, three MVCC students earned Top 10 finishes:

- Pio Nguyen of Utica, N.Y., a Business Administration major, placed third in Foundations of Selling.
- Vincent Klein of Ava, N.Y., a Business Analytics major, placed fourth in Retail Management.
- Natalie Moranchel of Little Falls, N.Y., an Accounting major, placed 10th in Foundations of Accounting.
“Congratulations to the entire FBLA team on these outstanding achievements,” said Vincent Petronio, Dean of the School of Business and Hospitality at MVCC. “Representing MVCC on a national stage and bringing home Top 10 finishes in your first year of competition is truly remarkable. We are proud of your professionalism, determination, and hard work — and we look forward to what’s next for this talented group.”
